Heading north from Brigg is the spectacularly pretty city of York, and Kingston-upon-Hull is even closer at hand.

There are some impressive things to do near Brigg; family attractions in abundance. Normanby Hall Country Park is less than ten miles away, with 300 acres of park and facilities for all the family’s enjoyment. Hull is home to the incredible underwater attraction The Deep, with its 3000+ fish and more than 40 sharks. Pleasure Island Theme Park in Cleethorpes has more than 50 fun rides and attractions, while Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway provides a rather more sedate ride for romantic weekends away and tourists who love a touch of nostalgia. Head south from Brigg for a journey further back in time, and visit Lincoln Castle, built in 1068 by William the Conqueror. For a hands-on taste of history, family holiday makers should head for Paull, a village housing a Napoleonic fortress: Fort Paull. There, visitors will find everything from waxworks to historic aircraft, underground tunnels and adventure aplenty.
