You can begin several stunning walks just minutes away from the heart of the village including walks up Helm Crag and Fairfield. Similarly, Grasmere Lake lies just a few minutes south of the village where you can enjoy gentle walks or simply take in the views. More challenging walks can also be enjoyed from Grasmere with fells such as Scafell Pikes, Skiddaw and the Langdale Pikes in the surrounding area making Grasmere perfect for walking holidays in the UK.
